World Class tools, the world can afford
Mitchell's Racing By the Numbers programs have been used by engineers in all forms of racing, from Club Racers to Formula One. If you have an interest in understanding the numerical effects of changes on your race car, then you should check out these products: WinGeo3 A complete three-dimensional suspension kinematic program. Provides analysis of double A-Arm, MacPherson strut, Five-Link independent and assorted solid rear-axle suspensions. WinGeo allows you to specifiy all the parameters that control a suspension, and examine the effects on roll centers, instanteaneous centers, scrub radius, cambers, etc as you move the suspension through combinations of ride height, roll, and steering input. Plus specify and existing upright r chassis pickup points and have the software determine what needs to move to give you the desired roll centers, etc. Each CD is customized by the developer for the specific end-user. Advanced Version 4.02 for Windows 95/96, 2000, NT and XP, $495. Upgrades for existing 3.05 or 3.06 customers, $95; earlier versions of WinGeo, $190. DOS Freebody customers can upgrade for $245. Racing by the numbers programs will not run on 64-bit computers, only 32-bit. And for the ultimate understanding, WinGeo has been integrated with actual data from your data acquisition system. It will draw a track map and animate the suspension movement as the car traverses the track. You can also point to anywhere on the track and examine the suspension movement at that location. The Premier/Data version is $1,895. WinGears. The complete gearing program for road racing and oval tracks. This programs performs standard gearing calculations but also utilizes an inventory of available gears to quickly show alternatives. $195. The Advanced version will perform straight line acceleration simulations given the engine torque curve and vehicle parameters. $395 Brake Calculator. All the mathematics of a racing brake systems from pedal geometry to the bias bar through the master cylinders to the calipers on each wheel. This program can tell you how much to move the bias bar if you change the front master cylinder to get the same distribution of forces. Take the mystery out of your brake system, $195 Engine & Chassis Calculator. This program quickly performs all of those calculations you could do with a calculator if you could just remember the formulas and constants. $95 Race Car Simulator. A load transfer program for training. This will help engineers understand the basics of vehicle dynamics by producing a graphical display of the effects of springs, anti-roll bars and corner weights. $110 Pro-Line Packages It's easy to see how all of these programs can be useful to your racing program, so the following packages are available that include all the programs with a discount. Advanced versions of WinGeo3, WinGears along with Engine & Chassis Calculator, Brake Calculator, and Race Car Simulator ($895, saves $395) Grand Prix - Permier/Data version of WinGeo3, Advanced version of WinGears, along with Engine & Chassis Calculator, Brake Calculator, and Race Car Simulator, and the Data Acquisition Analysis program Debrief3, ($2,795, save $520) |
