Racing is our passion
But Data is our business. We live and work in the wine country of California’s central coast. After careers in the high-tech world of Silicon Valley, we’ve built a facility that provides a great place for us to work on the customer projects we enjoy, and still do some of our own racing as well.
We began selling data acquisition systems and parts in 2001, with Ellen working full time, and David helping nights and weekends with tech support and wiring projects. By 2007 it was clear the business was about to outgrow the home office/shop in Sunnyvale, and we began planning the move to Paso Robles and the construction of a building to house the business.
Throughout 2008 we kept the business running while building a house on the same property as the new Veracity Racing Data shop. In early 2009, we moved into the house, and finished the Veracity Racing Data offices.
Today, we enjoy a short, beautiful commute down the driveway to the office. We have a fantastic place to work on race cars, and a clean bright lab to work on wiring harnesses, dyno shocks, and bench test systems prior to shipping. In 2019 we swapped our 400 HP Dynapack Series 2000 chassis dyno for a 1200 HP Dynapack Series 4000. We have a wonderful view of the oak trees and wildlife out the window. Whenever possible, we try to make it to the track with our two SCCA Prototype 2 cars: David’s Mazda-powered Van Diemen or Ellen’s Suzuki powered Stohr WF-1.
